Walk to Remember

Something worth doing...

For those of you who have someone in your family who is currently living with Alzheimer's or you fondly remember someone who died with it. You know all to well the affects of the disease. My Grandfather passed away many years ago. He had Alzheimers the last several years of his life. I remember as a child going to visit him in the nursing home. I knew how hard it had to be on my Dad when his Dad, by grandfather, no longer knew who he was.

If you would like to support a great cause to do something worthwhile to honor your loved one why not make The Alzheimer's Association Memory Walk® a family event this year! The Alzheimer's Association Memory Walk is the nation's largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer care, support and research!



You can start a your own team just by getting some family and friends together. Team Captains are needed! Teams are the heart of Memory Walk. People working together to support the millions affected by Alzheimer's. To start your own team you can go online to Alzheimer's Association Memory Walk 2008 and select a walk near you and register! They will provide you your very own website to launch your fundraising! Most Memory Walks are 2 - 3 miles and are held in the fall. You can make a difference and walk in honor of someone you love with Alzheimer's.
